Ooh La L.A………………
The OohLaL.A. Festival was a definite win for those who truly love the art form that is music.
A three day festival from the great mind of Sylvain Taillet, A&R exec at Barclay, OohLaL.A. is capable of opening any mind to genres it might have otherwise ignored. Not only did we get to listen to great music, each day was dedicated to a particular melodic theme.
Night one took us back to the 80s; “Nouvelle Vague Performs Dawn of Innocence,” a musical exclusive to the festival which combined colors and themes of the decade with popular punk, new wave and French music of the time. We were given a cultural education on night two when OohLaL.A. showed their great appreciation of Africa and the worldly music it produces. The last night gave us the chance to dance the night away! The musical geniuses of French electronic took to the stage and rocked the turntables. OohLaL.A. was a great creative way to spend our weekend. Make sure to keep this one on your musical radar….Can’t wait for next year!http://www.oohlalafestival.com/
